EHEALTH EUROCAMPUS SUMMER SCHOOL 2ND EDITION

Wrexham, Wales, 25 June – 6 July 2018

The second eHealth Eurocampus Summer School on “IT for a Longer Independent Life” took place took place over a two-week period, from 26 June to 6 July 2018, in Wrexham, Wales, UK.

The course was attended by 46 multidisciplinary students, and supported by 13 teachers and trainers. It comprised theoretical teaching, practical laboratory work, interaction with service users (performed by actors), all culminating in the group prototype development of eHealth apps, which were then presented and evaluated by the entire group. The teaching and learning approach was highly satisfactory, as students benefited from working in their multidisciplinary teams – they appreciated experiencing the different perspectives and approaches of other students and their disciplines, something which is critical for eHealth education to be developed and emerge as an academic subject on its own.
